| The Garmin GMA 340 features innovative LED-illuminated push button controls that allow audio selection of both NAV and Comm audio. Large buttons activate the Comm microphone and audios for up to three Comm transceivers to simplify cockpit workload. Another feature of the GMA 340 is the Split Comm, which allows the pilot to transmit/receive on Comm 1 and the co-pilot to transmit/receive on Comm 2. MASQ™ processing reduces ambient noise from the avionics inputs. Comm transmit indication is also provided. Speaker selection is available to monitor the aircraft radios or to make PA announcements. There are two unswitched inputs for telephone ringers, altitude alert warnings, or other warning tones. In addition, the GMA 340 includes a six-place VOX intercom with three selectable modes of isolation, dual stereo music inputs, and independent pilot, co-pilot, and passenger volume control. Each microphone input has a dedicated VOX circuit to ensure that only the active microphone is heard when squelch is broken. Special cabin noise de-emphasis circuitry enhances cockpit communications. |

| The PS Engineering PMA7000B selects
the best feature set from both the PMA7000MS and PMA7000CD, creating
a very versatile audio panel. Removing the rotary mic selector knob
in favor of an all push button selector approach, the PMA7000B provides
not only traditional capability of an audio panel, but now adds an interface
for any hands free cellular telephone. The audio panel has concentric
volume controls, one for Crew intercom volume and the other for passenger
intercom volume. The PMA7000B retains the dual independent music
sources.
The telecommunications distribution in the PMA7000B has also been improved by adding a full-duplex interface to aviation-standard impedance. This allows distribution of AirCell, Globalstar and Iridium conversations, providing private telephone calls by the pilot or copilot, or party line calls with the passengers and/or crew, using Com 3. The unit can easily be configured as either a Com 3 aviation or Com 3 AirCell interface at installation. |

| The Bendix/King KMA 28 is a complete system that combines an audio amplifier, six-station intercom and marker beacon receiver. The KMA 28 is easy to read and operate, particularly at night. Positive-action buttons (with pilot-selectable key-click response) offer a sense of confidence. The audio selection buttons incorporate LEDs to annunciate your selected audio sources, and the high-visibility marker beacon lights include outputs to drive external annunciators. A ‘split-COM’ feature allows the pilot to use the number
one radio to talk with air traffic control while the co-pilot uses
the number two radio to check on the weather or arrange for a rental
car. Dual entertainment inputs let your passengers listen to something
other than what |
