With color GPS terrain mapping, Jeppesen® information, and obstacle alerting, Garmin's iQue® 3600a is the real pilots' Palm®. Ready to navigate right out of the box, the iQue 3600a combines the convenience of a Palm with the reliability of a Garmin GPS aviation portable. The moving map includes Jeppesen, terrain and U.S. obstacles databases. The "Terrain" mode offers TAWS-like warnings and "pop-up" alerts when proximity conflicts loom ahead. There is a detailed Sectional chart-style overview of surface features, navaids, SUAs, towers, and more along your flight route on a crisp, colorful display. With a complete suite of personal information management (PIM) applications, voice recorder, MP3 player and Secure Digital slot for memory expansion, the iQue 3600a is a full-featured organizer. | The WAAS-enabled Garmin GPSMAP 396 with XM WX Satellite Weather™ features Next Generation Radar (NEXRAD), Aviation Routine Weather Reports (METARs), Terminal Aerodrome Forecasts (TAFs), Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs), Lightning and Winds Aloft, and several other important weather products to help pilots make informed navigational decisions. | The WAAS-capable Garmin GPSMAP 196 has
detailed moving map graphics, HSI steering guidance, a Jeppesen database,
and all the other pilot-friendly features you'd expect from Garmin.
You'll be amazed at the exceptional resolution and contrast on this
unit's 12-level grayscale display, and its lightning-fast processor
makes for extremely fast map redraws and scrolling.
Situational awareness gets a boost from built-in land detail that includes political boundaries, cities, interstates, roads, rivers, and lakes. Steering guidance is clearly presented through a graphic HSI with VNAV, with extended runway centerlines to help orient you to the runway. An automatic logbook also calculates your flight time and automatically records departure and arrival locations. The GPSMAP 196 compromises nothing in its versatility, going from cockpit to land to water. 16-color display makes it easy to distinguish SUAs from highways, or
VORs from nearby towns. A "vector to final" feature offers
the finest situational awareness on approach. This unit can provide
position accuracy to less than three meters when receiving WAAS corrections.
