The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration and Department of Transportation have chosen North Carolina for the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Integration Pilot Program (IPP). The North Carolina Department of Transportation will participate in the program to develop technologies that will enable drone delivery of consumer goods and for exciting medical applications.
Flytrex and Causey Aviation Unmanned will work with the North Carolina Department of Transportation to test drone package delivery within a defined airspace by establishing drone delivery stations in local communities. The first test site is Holly Springs, where Causey Aviation Unmanned will deliver meals using the Flytrex cloud based UAS operations platform. Flytrex technology already supports over a dozen drone delivery routes for meals in Reykjavik, Iceland.
In the next few months and years Flytrex and Causey Aviation Unmanned will deliver consumer goods directly to your backyard in minutes. The development of the internet allowed businesses and consumers to access information anytime and anywhere. In the same way drone technology will allow businesses and consumers to access aviation capabilities throughout their daily lives to relieve traffic congestion, conserve energy and increase convenience and safety. Causey Aviation has provided jet management, jet charter and aircraft maintenance services for over 50 years.
